Most podcasters make $0.00.

In fact, many lose money after you factor in the cost of equipment and time required to produce, edit, and publish each episode. 

If their podcast doesn’t gain traction, these folks tell themselves they’re doing the podcast as a “labor of love” because they believe in their message or cause so deeply…

This all sounds very noble, but it’s a lie.

  2. Create paid membership tiers. You do this by reserving special events or bonus content for paid members.
  3. Sell sponsorships or ads or join an advertising network. Another company handles selling ad space on your show.
  4. Sell affiliate products.  You can promote someone else’s stuff and you get a nice percentage 
  5. Sell premium episodes. Did you land a special guest and record a killer episode?  Sell it.
  6. Gate your back catalog or sell repurposed content.  If you have a ton of content in your archives, new fans may be willing to catch up on your back episodes.
  7. Syndicate your show to YouTube. If you get popular enough, this could be a great paying option.
